The answer is yes. There's definitely a chance.

Several months back American airlines petitioned the judge overseeing the bankruptcy to release the remaining funds. They felt there are far more funds in the pool than are needed to cover the remaining bankruptcy claims based on current share price. However the judge denied them feeling it prudent to wait a while longer. Some on this board have posted that the rumors are a year to year and a half, but no one really knows. That's the thing about bankruptcy. You are no longer in charge, The judge is. But it is a very good sign that they attempted to do this. I have a high level of confidence that there will be additional funds left over after all claims are settled. And this will be distributed to the common shareholders. It is clearly their intention.
