I watched the Geograph Channel on the Garbage waste management.

The landfill covered mostly was the landfill in southern california. It is on 1400 acres and receives a monumental amount of trash.

They took you through the process of the landfill. the picking up of the trash, the seperation process, the hand on seperation of trash, The process for tires so that they can be placed in the landfill.

They gave a glimpse of the Land fill in NY.

They covered the landfill gas at this cite. Showing how the preparation was established for the pipes that would retrieve the methane gas. That they had a processer that provided electricty for the cite as well as 100,000 homes. They also showed a gasoline style pump that you could pump gas for vehicles.

They then said in the near future that the cite was going to be closed. They have been designing a process that they would be building a cite far off away from humans. Design a rail system that would haul the trash to the cite. Unload to a trailer and the trailer would bring the containers to the lanfill cite. Bring back and empty trailor loaded back on to the rails for return to LA county for trash again. They will have their recycling buildings, I guess gas converting plant etc. like the one they have now.

I would think this would be the time for CTUM to make their pitch if this LA County is going to do the above so that they would include their plant in this new venture they are going to build. It is going to mammoth. Boy would I love for CTUM to be a part of this.

I hope someone else has seen this and gives their views.
