LIGHT TRUCKS AND TRUCKS MAKE UP APPROXIMATELY HALF THE VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. SALES OF LIGHT TRUCKS GREW FIVE TIMES FASTER THEN CARS. AS WE ALL KNOW BATTERIES DO NOT WORK WELL FOR BIGGER VEHICLES FOR WEIGHT REASONS AND CHARGING TIME. tHIS SOLIDIFIES FUEL CELLS ADVANTAGE AND INEVITABILITY. NOW THAT MEANS THE INFRASTRUCTURE WILL BE BUILT TO SUPPORT THEM. AND WHEN THE INFRASTRUCTURE IS BUILT, IT IS A NO BRAINER FUEL CELL PASSENGER CARS WILL BE AN EASY SELL. THEY HAVE PRE-ORDERS ALREADY THAT ARE OFF THE CHART. BEV'S HAVE BEEN A BAND AID OF SORTS FOR THE GREEN CROWD AND GOV'T CRACK DOWN ON EMISSIONS. WHILE FUEL CELLS WERE 5 YEARS AWAY FOR THE PAST TWENTY YEARS <SNORE>. NOW THAT THEY HAVE ARRIVED THE WILL BECOME THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE GASOLINE ENGINE AND BEV'S WILL BECOME A NICHE.

INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, LATER ON IN THE ARTICLE THE AUTHOR EXPLAINS THE TERM FUTURE AND DISMISSES IT BECAUSE IF THE FUTURE OF BATTERIES ARE APPLIED THE SAME WOULD BE NEEDED TO BE APPLIED TO FUEL CELLS. BUT WHILE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE FUTURE, BATTERIES WILL HAVE A LIMITED IMPROVEMENT IN BATTERY LIFE AND CHARGING TIME. WHATEVER IMPROVEMENTS THAT WILL BE MADE IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS WILL BE BOTH TOO LATE AND NOT ENOUGH. BECAUSE CURRENT CHARGING TIME IS SO FAR BEHIND. THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THE LAW OF PHYSICS. THE FASTER YOU CHARGE, THE MORE HEAT IT GENERATES AND THE MORE IT KILLS A BATTERY. IF YOU READ THE ARTICLE IT ALSO STATES THAT NISSAN RECOMMENDS NOT TO USE DC CHARGING BECAUSE IT WILL SHORTEN A BEV'S BATTERY LIFE. BUT WHATEVER IMPROVEMENTS THAT ARE MADE TO BATTERIES IN THE FUTURE WILL ALWAYS IMPROVE FUEL CELLS. BECAUSE FCEV'S ARE EV'S. HYBRIDS. BUT NOW WE ALL AGREE THE DEBATE IS OVER.
