Shorting DNRG: It is a hard-to-borrow security

Short Side
DNRG is a HTB security and must be borrowed externally from brokerage accounts if attempting to sell short. Further more if you could even find the shares to borrow you must short a minimum of $50k and pay a fee currently in excess of 20%. That said, illegal offshore hedge fund trading and covering short positions with private placement shares happens every day. Using discounted private placement shares to cover short positions is illegal and enforced fairly regularly by the SEC.

Long Side
A friend went long DNRG last week well in excess of 1million shares and the position took over an hour to fill. The MM's were scrambling to locate shares and at numerous times while the order was open the MM's manipulated the bid and ask at monumental levels. Check Fridays trading data.

My conclusion on the aforementioned is there are not many shares available on the open market, combined with very large pre-existing "non-retail" short positions, DNRG could very easily make a 3000-10000% run in the near to mid term. With the previously released news not fully digested, and future positive events on the horizon, DNRG will make some patient and smart traders a lot of money.
