God after the investor's meeting and now this I'm convinced everyone that works for American Airlines are a bunch of babies (Rockland excluded). They should know that when an airline puts out an opening for a flight attendant position there are thousands of applications for it.

American would be better off going out and hiring new blood that would appreciate the opportunity. Most of the employees I've dealt with on my flights/at the gate are horrible. The learning curve for flight attendant's isn't super high, and the demand for the position is there.

I'll give you two great examples from my flights with American.

Flight #1: I show up at the terminal. Email reservation says US Airways. I go to US Airways. Once I go to the kiosk it says it can't find my reservation and that it's an American Airlines flight. I go to the person at the desk and tell her the issue.

Attendant: "Sir this is not a US Airways flight."
Me: I know but my email says it was, I just want to make sure I don't go all the way over there for the wrong flight.
Attendant: "I'm not gonna argue with you, it's an American Airlines flight you need to go there."
Me: Aren't you in the same system? This is extremely inefficient.
Attendant: "This is the last time I'll tell you, this is not our flight. You either go to the other terminal, or you don't fly. I don't care either way."

I was so pissed that I irrationally sold $20k worth of stock in the terminal. Although I suppose I should thank her because it was near $50.

Flight #2: Nice girl has a bag that's not fitting. Her bag was regulation size but the plane was jam-packed and it wasn't going in. Being a nice looking girl and me being a tall guy I offered to help. She tells me that there's some valuable items in there so to be careful. I try to get it in but it's not working. All while this is happening the flight attendant is yelling at us to get the bag in and sit down. Flight attendant then goes "The bag will fit. You're doing it wrong." Then quickly walks over and SHOVES the bag inside before the girl can tell her that there are fragile items in there. Slams it. And then goes "SIT DOWN" and walks back.

If it was up to me I'd can all their asses (Rockland excluded). Every other airline is way nicer (except for United).
