Government officials in the Philippines have their hands in everything. Hundreds of millions of dollars are made from mining there every year. Where do you think those millions go? Straight into government official's Swiss Bank accounts. Government officials there are very greedy. Why do you think the U.S. government pulled out of Clark and Subic. The Philippine Government wanted way more for the use of the land there than the 200,000,000 dollars per year the U.S. was paying for it. Who do you think payed all that money to them all these years since we (the U.S.) gave them their independence. We did (the taxpayers).
