All of the following is 'IMO', so read it with discretion..

I don't have much time today, but doing some DD last night, I wonder if sglb has a connection with IBM and IBM's Apache Hadoop.

all of us grew up knowing the standard way of production (get the material, build it, ship it, make a profit), but with the industrial internet out there, and GE mentioning it numerous times, I think there might be something going on behind the scenes with sglb and the cloud in order to make the best usage of big data (and we all know AM uses tons of big data).

IBMs website talks of how with the new industrial internet,

"it makes it impractical to have every technology in house and that collaboration across enterprises in the cloud makes it much more efficient for all parties involved".

so I wonder, and ill say IMO because I know its all new right now, IMO I wonder if sglb is gearing up either directly or indirectly with IBMs big data and the SDM cloud based community.

remember, AM means no more need for shipping costs (lowered costs). Germany could have CAD prints for a part, send it across the industrial internet to America, and we can print the part.. free shipping.

time will tell.

again, I don't have time to post links today but a simple google search of anything I said above will bring you to the appropriate websites.

I really do think IMO something big is happening behind the scenes that we have no idea about and that there is a definite connection between it and the JV between arête and sglb.

and as I side note, I still wonder if that sigmalabs.co website is somehow connected to sglb, in that either it is arête-sigmas new webpage (the logo looks uncannily similar to aretes), or somehow connected in another way. if I end up being wrong in this department, ill admit my wrongness and will laugh about it. cant be right all the time.

remember, with big data and universal connectivity (google that term), cloud computing, it now makes sense that sglb could connect to other countires like Israel over the industrial internet, because like I mentioned above..

"it makes it impractical to have every technology in house and that collaboration across enterprises in the cloud makes it much more efficient for all parties involved".

..so, instead of sglb having every needed technology in house...use the cloud.

(all IMO or as some like to say 'dot connecting')

GLTA! gotta go.
