Bull crap. How many OEMs supported i860? How many ISVs/OSVs supported i860? How many IHVs supported i860? How many systems with i860 hardware were sold by different vendors? How many software applications were ported to the i860 architecture?

After answering all those questions, if you still think that there are no differences, then you are just ignoring the obvious.

Re: Itanium will not die, but it will never get over 1% of the market.

It will have more than that sooner than you can imagine.
