Note that the lawsuit has been in the works for a year and a half and there is a trial date set.
Sounds like there may be some behind the scene negotiations for a new manufacturing facility.
First Residential Projects and More News
Louisville, KY, October 20, 2014 -- LEEP, Inc. announced our first LeepCore residential house is currently under construction. The exterior of the house will be made entirely of LEEP panels, and is just over 2,000 square feet per floor. The builder constructing the house has many years experience in the construction industry, and is extremely pleased with the ease and speed of construction. He has meticulously looked at other panels and competitive products for building a sustainable, energy efficient, yet affordable house, and is convinced, as we are, that there is no better material with which to build a house. This will be a multi-story house, meets or exceeds all the local building codes, and will set a new standard for construction in that area, according to the builder. The builder has also executed an agreement to become a sales agent for the company, and indicated he has several potential customers waiting to see his finished product. A second builder has committed to use our panels in a residential development scheduled to commence next Spring in a different part of the country.
The Company (LEEP) continues to build mail screening buildings for the Federal government. We recently delivered four new units for use at Embassies and Consulates in various parts of the world, including Africa and Ecuador, and currently have seven (7) more in production, some of which are for new Defense Contractor customers. We expect to deliver those units shortly, and anticipate additional orders.
The Company also continues to prosecute the lawsuit we filed in January 2013 against the two companies who violated our Non-disclosure and Non-circumvention Agreement and have attempted to harm our business for their own gain. Our legal counsel was finally able to take depositions of the principals of the two companies involved, and is filing a motion to amend our suit to include a claim of “aiding and abetting” against one of the defendant companies, based upon their admissions in the depositions. At the same time, we are requesting the court to set a trial date to try to expedite what has been an interminably slow process. Our counsel remains confident that we will prevail, and we will continue to prosecute the case with as much dispatch as the system will allow.
LEEP is actively pursuing joint venture partners for the purpose of funding new manufacturing capability, and has recently had fruitful discussions with two interested and capable parties who would make a sizable capital investment in a panel manufacturing operation. The level of interest in our panel product continues to grow in a variety of markets, which justifies a new manufacturing initiative.
