I think arnold is correct that the first GE deal was about their helping us to get homeland security funding as well as funds from other sources in government. I still believe that these relationships will bear fruit. As for our being far enough along, I suspect that arriving to the results of current testing of the bird flu vaccine on animals supposedly going on now in those special high security labs will be a big step forward in the direction of being "worthy". (That word reminds of of Wayne's World).

I will add an additional thought now. Here is where our small size, low share price, might have worked against us. Had we been a bigger, more established company, perhaps our progress to date WOULD have been sufficient to gain us access to such government funds. Being that is not who we are right now, perhaps we have to do that extra bit. My take is that government people ARE impressed but that, given the circumstances, it would SEEM too risky and imprudent to award us with funding. I see this extra effort as a way to provide officials with political cover. In other words, the scenario I have often repeated is, in the end, so unbelievable, that it has actually hurt our chances up to this point. It seems too incredible that little David might actually have a chance at prevailing over the many Samsons. (I almost wrote Simpsons!)
