They also talk about monitoring the weld puddle characteristics and comparing each layer to the computer aided design model. This sounds like the same thing Additive Industries is doing.

He also discuses patents and patent infringement and ways to get around it. This is a little scary, hopefully Sigma's patents and agreements protect their idea adequately.

I don't have a lot of faith in corporate integrity and could see the big guys running over the little ones holding things up in legal battles until the little guys run out of money.
