It makes me think of the story of the "Boy Who Cried Wolf". The boy kept crying of the wolf who was never there. So the moral of the story is that one day when the wolf comes there will be nobody to believe it is true to help that boy. But a twist to this story that is not stressed and that is that the truth/promise/wolf will come eventually and therefore the many who did not believe anymore will not be around and the few who will be left will reap what is coming. That story talks about a sad ending for a boy to learn his lesson. But this kind of story has also been known to have a good ending. Not every hype is a wolf and it could be good fortune. GLA
