I haven't ever caught him in a lie. He really doesn't have to. The above statement is sufficient to suggest, well, extensive and diverse experience. The fact is he has participated with a small interest in a dozen or so wells and has drilled one producer, perhaps two. The Teaf well was touted as a 160 BOPD well, but has never averaged over 30. It might payout.
Read the case involving Petroleum News Bakken. There is no law that says you can't name you prospects like wells, but it's hard to believe it wasn't designed to give the wrong impression. The PNB article documents that several people got the wrong impression.
Far as I know he has traded mineral and royalty interests mostly with other people's money. The "Best North American Oil Company Award" is strange from a strange magazine. The criteria is not revealed, but it can't be number of successful wells or reserves growth.
He claims to have studied mathematics at SMU, but sued them when they accused him of cheating. Leaves that part out. He claims an honorary doctorate, but some claim there is no record of it. Not that that is important. He claimed to have no interest in Breitling Oil and Gas nor in Breitling Energy. Far as I know that is or was at the time true.
He has never claimed to have profited from drilling wells, not that I have found, anyway. The question is, what exactly has he done? He has read a lot about fracking is the only thing I can document.
Really doesn't matter anymore. Until he releases financial reports, people either know or should know the risk.
