With the exception of the cytotoxin issues, I read Randy lazily or lightly. For now I am dismissing our silkworms as having medical possibilities. I don't know if there is a possibility for mulberry fed silkworms...to not produce cytotoxins. Not good for humans. Maybe they can do something with the DNA, but I seriously doubt it. Diet has much if not everything to do with it. Spiders eat protein, so that is probably why their silk is compatible with humans. Just my thinking.
