No, the Torvec team working on this made a 'breadboard' that is a large scale board to plug in sensors and test the hardware before the final, ultra precise, expensive components are assembled. The hardware is already available and Torvec has a manufacturer ready to make the 'Mycadian' device. The team has collected enough data from test subjects to prove the concept. Currently they are refining the formulas to work with a broad spectrum of people.
A person is to wear the 'watch' for 7 days and nights and then they will have a custom profile that will work with the real time sensors of their watch. Combined with the Torvec formulas, they will be alerted to nap or do whatever the experts suggest in order NOT to fall asleep at the wheel or desk or flight deck. They could make a Mycadian device now, but they want the formulas to be better and they want the information, data bases and research of at least one researcher to validate all of this and to give them the edge and depth of information compared to Apple or others. Seemed like this was important to establishing credibility. After all not a gear in the thing. Hope they settle on a price soon.
