They actually got FDA approval based on detailed testing supporting the efficacy of what they claimed. And they have a Ova2 that is claimed to be much improved and going for FDA approval. Others are also moving Ovarian Cancer blood test through FDA approval process.
ARYC was claimed since late 2009 they were on the verge of launching OvaDx and in getting FDA approval. They still haven't subjected OvaDx biomarkers to the initial of 4 steps of testing that were laid out in December 2009.
All they did was a significantly modified (on an easier test data set) STEP 2 (out of Steps 2-5) since 2009.
And Vermillion actually spends lots of money developing their IP on Ovarian cancer tests and other tests. ARYC spends nominal amounts and has no resources to spend much of anything.
