Briscoe is trying to take shareholders concerns into account by finding a source of cash than selling shares. I'm sure the funder would have been happy getting huge number of shares. ...Instead in discussion Briscoe and board decided to go with a less dilutive cash generating deposits until larger funding is secured.

Also deep drilling hay mountain will continue using the funds from shallow drilling. It will also increase share price based on profitable mining.

Just read!
Although not stated an idea would be to issue a small dividend if cash flow exceeds expenses after mining has reached optimum levels. Not stated but a possibility in future and could increase share price further.
