Politicians dragging their feet?

YOU DON'T SAY

At this point, IMO, the vast majority of the public understand what marijuana is, and that number will be growing (unless parents continue to chose to raise their children blind; parents who largely grew up in the 60's and beyond). Hemp is the most harmless of the two - fact. One could argue it's not harmful at all, besides maybe the medical applications (which appear to be unknown at this time, but promising news for those treated for severe seizures). It's certainly not harmful in the context that it does not impair (or enhance) the mind. If someone wants to smoke hemp and get a really bad headache, I say "knock yourself out".

Hemp could go legal nationally before MJ, as a catalyst to rescheduling.

Two bills have been introduced in House and Senate, which have very simple edits to the language on how hemp is regulated.

To amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of marihuana

Both bills are in committee. Co-sponsors to those bills have been added; several in the past few weeks.

In due time, folks. In due time.
