Let's speculate.... ( this is a speculative stock, no?)

Clearly the efforts for funding have been much more than just phase 1 financing. A mere 5 million is not impossible for this entity, yet they have told us they spent efforts, expanding targets, AMI, funding requirements and vetting phase 2 players.

LBSR likely goal in this entire process: retain as much equity in HMSP as possible.

One way to do this is to acquire cash and assets necessary as part of the entire package/plan, etc. Companies like this are contemplating these moves at least 6 months before they let shareholders have a glimpse.. I will speculate the huge AS increase is NOT a reaction to market prices, but rather part of a plan. The need to go from 5 bil to 6.25 bil AS is very curious. Nothing has really changed in market prices with the exception of it is now known that LBSR intends to substantially increase AS. Did another funding entity want to come on board after the announced plan to expand the SS??

If I wanted to drop 60 million as a phase 2 funding entity a few things of importance might be..... Securing neighboring mineral rights, making sure my partner ( LBSR) has a means to avoid hostile takeover, optimizing finances of the project i.e tax benefits of long term exploration costs, etc . Hedging ?

When speculating you must be able to put on different shoes and see from all perspectives...
