BMRN—NYT piece on drug to treat dwarfism cites a group who opposes treatment because they think dwarfs are ok the way they are (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/18/business/drug-accelerated-growth-in-children-with-dwarfism-pharmaceutical-firm-says.html ).

I’ve often run into this mindset with respect to the deaf.
