Not accurate, based on publicly available information:

Crazy that Baristas owns 51% of all Mall Baristas BMOC Parters (sic) openings

. The PA mall stores are under a traditional franchise model, whereby BCCI receives an opening fee, ongoing royalty (6%) and marketing (1%) fees, as well as revenue from barista-specific supplies.

BMOC and BCCI have not announced any NY stores (arguably early for that), but have announced formation of a joint venture 51% owned by BCCI; I suspect that the revised structure is because BMOC wanted BCCI to have more financial 'skin in the game' relative to store success, versus receiving money 'off the top.'

It is interesting that the fourth PA mall store has apparently not yet opened, and there has not been visible progress on other stores mentioned by Mr. Henthorn to an IH poster as disclosed here perhaps a month ago.

Nevertheless, IMO the mall stores offer the only way forward for BCCI; their kiosks are a financial disaster, the ice cream didn't sell, the reality show wasn't picked up, and the k-cups announced in February and advertised, have no visible means of distribution (potential exception is the kiosk and mall locations, but that has not been announced; not obvious that BCCI has the cash for completion of product development and initial inventory).
