I think the disagreement is from the POWER4/5 guys fearful for their ricebowl. :-P

BTW, this article describes the x450. It should be pretty competitive. But later this year
IBM will bring out the x455. It reportedly uses a completely revamped chipset. From
what I hear IBM is going to give HP and SGI real competition for the IPF performance
crown at a given CPU count. Not bad for a company with "enormous ambivalence". ;^)
