Along4theRide - Just to clarify, there are many pieces of information that are exchanged between various parties over the course of a clinical trial. Even very concrete communications such as approval of a production facility can easily be misinterpreted. As an example, simply saying a production facility is approved for production could be interpreted that either a drug has been/close to approval, and/or additional business is on contract, and expected improvements of financials, but that may or may not be the case.

On the other hand, acknowledgement that a milestone has been reached in the company's most important clinical trial is very hard to misinterpret, regardless of whether it is occurring.

Again, there is a lot of grey area and it is up to the company to assess and determine if an event is material, and of course the company is always "free" to disclose non-material information, as long as it is done in a timely fashion.
