I spoke with a well driller yesterday that drills both personal and commercial wells in Huerfano County. He assists the applicant in filing the application to the state. He said that the grow facility applicants that he has been involved with have had no trouble getting approved as both county and state are eager to get the tax money. Approval has been less than one year. He also said that when the county water district makes a request for an augmentation plan it usually is approved when the county is willing to reduce (dry up) acreage in return for approval of plan.
