As a further update to our website posting of June 1st, "AsepticSure® Progress Update," the Alberta Ministry of Health has just confirmed that Alberta Health Services wishes to initiate the demonstration and equipment evaluation of AsepticSure at two major hospitals in September. The AsepticSure demonstrations will be held for two days each to allow for maximum attendance. One demonstration will be in Edmonton and the second in Calgary.
As noted in the same June 1st update, the Canadian National Infection Prevention and Control Conference is being held June 14th through June17th in Victoria, BC. In addition to the two presentations on AsepticSure efficacy by Professor Dick Zoutman at the conference, Dr. Michael Shannon and Professor Zoutman will host a private dinner sponsored by Medizone International. The invitees are senior infection control officers from across Canada. To date, we have 17 confirmations of acceptance.
We anticipate that these events will provide AsepticSure with a very significant, broad-based exposure to the larger Canadian medical decision makers at senior staff levels within both hospital management organizations and government.
It might also be noted that the recently elected Primer of Alberta, Rachel Notley, ran on a campaign that included promises for the reduction of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI's) in Alberta. She appears to be following through on her campaign promise.
