Price release today and a future Voices of Reason response to follow :)

On the Move Systems (OMVS) continues to focus efforts on its innovative upcoming “Uber-for-Trucking” shared economy app - an online, on-demand platform that will not only enable truckers to slash ever-rising costs, but build a consistent, steady revenue stream for OMVS.

Truckers report their cost of business is rising an average of 10 percent per year, published surveys indicate. This includes equipment costs, labor costs, fuel costs, insurance, etc.

“These trucking companies are facing double-digit increases every year, so they’re looking for any edge they can get to stay competitive,” said OMVS CEO Robert Wilson. “Our cutting-edge platform will deliver a powerful new way for them to not only manage their business better, it will enable them to anticipate needs and more efficiently match needs with opportunities. The result will be lower costs and higher profits for them and a strong, reliable customer base – and continued revenues – for us.”

With online, on-demand access to the shared economy, truckers will soon be able to more cost-effectively schedule routes, seamlessly connect with drivers needing loads or long-haul carriers seeking local drivers, purchase supplies, and effectively use information analytics (often referred to as “Big Data”) to better forecast and plan business priorities.

Pioneered by Uber, the shared economy business model has been enjoying tremendous growth in the past months as more and more industries adopt the idea. Most recently, former Men's Wearhouse founder George Zimmer announced the startup of a shared economy application for the clothing industry. Sales in shared economy-related services are expected to grow to $335 billion by 2025
