IFE Product of the Year...

murgirl: Are you not aware that there was a campaign on agoracom and off-line e-mail lists for e.Digital shareholders to use multiple e-mail addresses to spam the voting for the IPEC/LARA IFE awards? People were encouraged to vote for the digEplayer and Alaska Airlines.

The election of Alaska Airlines (which used digEplayers on only a fraction of its flights and has no IFE on the majority of its flights) as having the best IFE service in the industry was clear evidence of vote tampering as they have one of the most minimal forms of IFE. Others in the audience must have been shocked at the selection.

Even if the digEplayer had been legitimately voted as the IFE product of the year it wouldn't be just the device itself, but the studio content provided via digEcor's contracts and the logistics handled by the airlines.

It's sad to see that you seem to be so locked into the agoracom line of hype. It would be nice to see some independent thinking posted there. Unfortunately anyone doing so would be labeled a basher and banished by agoracom.
