The problem is that nothing changes. The fundamentals and the mechanics of the company are still the same.
A R/S has been stereotyped as a last straw grasp by failing companies. Seasoned investors who know nothing about a stock will avoid it just because a R/S is in the recent history.
If you have a million shares of 'xyz' and it goes up a penny, you have a good day. If a R/S reduces your share count to one hundred shares and it goes up TWO pennies, you have a buck after taxes.
If we do a R/S, I can promise you, it WILL get uglier long before it gets better.
