Press Release today .....

HENDERSON, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

On the Move Systems (OMVS) expects substantial future revenue growth as independent drivers looking to move from the recovering oil industry to customers in other fields are drawn to its upcoming cutting-edge products and services now under development.

OMVS’s revolutionary new “Uber-for-Trucking” shared economy platform will target these types of drivers looking for work in other industries. The recent crude oil price downturn has created a ready market of potential users as drillers and suppliers have curtailed activities and shut down rigs, leaving less work for truckers across the industry.

“Independent truckers are often reliant on a single industry for loads,” said OMVS CEO Robert Wilson. “When work there dries up, it’s sometimes difficult for independents to diversify into another, especially when they may lack contacts or connections. The shared economy can help independents overcome this. As a result, we expect them to be very interested in our online, on-demand platform, which should provide a steady stream of income for OMVS.”

Industry experts estimate independent truckers comprise nearly half of all truckers in the nation, with about 250,000 drivers. Most still find work via hand-written notes tacked to truck-stop bulletin boards.

Basing its startup strategy on Uber’s wildly successful model, OMVS has concentrated its efforts on Texas before branching out, just as Uber proved its shared economy idea in New York then expanded elsewhere. Texas independent truckers should provide an ideal test as the oil industry’s recent problems have created a ready market of potential app users eager to participate in a shared economy platform.
