V3's appliance IS A VMWARE BOX:

Or read ANY's recent technical spec white paper on the V3 appliance. It's basically a server running VMWare Horizon View.

Per the technical brief there is no Glassware on it.

IMHO V3's business plan is/was to resell VMWare View in an an appliance with a few extra management tools that VMWware didn't have initially to make it "simple" for small scale implementations. Nothing wrong with that but seems most smaller scale entities didn't want to mess around with VDI.

Hence V3 effectively going bankrupt.
