Post from the Test Pilot Ed De Reyes who will fly the crafts, on how he felt about the Doc’s timeline in the newsletter. He responded:
"We're probably closer to 90 to 100 days before the M200X (Neuera) flies - but what Dr. Moller stated in the newsletter about the progress made on the engines and airframe are correct - he's done a lot of work in anticipation of flying the M200X. I'm currently working on the FAA paperwork for an experimental aircraft certificate for the aircraft. We should have that paperwork in place about 30 days before the first flight. The first flight, of course will be on a tether and manned. Following some stability and control (S&C) tests, we will proceed to the untethered tests. Dr. Moller and Zack Rabin have put a lot of time into the S&C system, so I'm hoping she'll behave well on the untethered flight. As it stands, Dr. Moller wants to fly the first tethered flight, and I'll take over from there. Of course, the insurance may not allow him to fly at all...but we’ll have to see about that. "
