Sorry to disagree. You don't have to 'take out the top dog' to succeed. For the little guy, a small percentage of market share is sufficiently huge (compared to where you were). In order to take them out, yea, you'd have to have one heck of an advertising campaign, etc. But considering their reception at the markets they've been in, they can grow pretty steadily with this grass roots approach up to a point where they can start spending some on advertising.
