Hanwha’s solar energy subsidiary Hanwha Q CELLS steps up its marketing offensive in Europe’s solar market dabbling with solar modules and entering housing system markets. Hanwha announced on June 8 that it will release new module product Q Plus Series at the solar photovoltaic exposition Intersolar on June 10 in Munich, Germany. Over 1,000 solar companies will join the world’s four major solar photovoltaic events.

Q Antum cell technology based Q plus Series is one of the most efficient module in the solar energy industry generating up to 340Wp (or 72 cell) of electricity, the company explained. Hanwha Q CELLS said the product has top-notch technology that surpasses the conversion efficiency of a Mono-crystalline cell while still using a Poly-crystalline cell. Q Plus Series will hit the market in the second half of the year.

Hanwha Q CELLS will showcase both the solar photovoltaic module and housing energy solution Q HOME at the event to consolidate its market position as a energy management company as well as a solar module producer. Nam Sung-woo, CEO of Hanwha Q CELLS, said the company will proactively respond to the fast-changing European market, centering on the housing solar photovoltaic market moving away from the conventional utility market.

Hanwha Q CELLS is considered one of the major companies with strong market presence in Europe including Germany. Hanwha Q CELLS has been focusing on expanding solar energy applications showcasing its latest models.
