IMO, sounds like sweeping genearlizations based on your biases.
In fact your remind me of a good friends wife who had 4 kids by a previous husband and raised them alone up until their early teens. It is impossible to discuss anything with her about marriage or anything to do with children because of her experience.
have you ever been a single parent? had a child out of wedlock? maybe this friend of yours has some life experiences that make her more qualified to understand these situations than you.
