Cowboy, if you recall, I was responding to contractor who posted this:

"U.S. Senators Tout Oil Shale in Colorado Forum
by Gary Harmon Cox News Service Friday, June 02, 2006

Squeezing oil from the shales of the North American West "could literally shake the world," the chairman of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee said Thursday."

If in fact, Shale Oil could "shake the world" - if there was the remotest possibility that the US domestic energy scene could be affected by this technology - would it not affect the price of oil and therefore AMEP?

Discussions of energy policy and technology are quite obviously (to me, anyways) a pertinent aspect to evaluating AMEP's long term financial health.

Palo Pinto is not the only plate in front of us - in fact, right now, we are still waiting to hear, "Dinner is served!" I bought my ticket to the feast 15 months ago, and I'm always up for provocative side-conversations while we're waiting with our drinks at the bar.

In any event, energy issues like US shale oil remain, IMO, a lively topic of interest to anyone even casually involved with AMEP or the energy markets.

And just for the record, I think shale oil extraction on a massive scale is not likely to be practicable, which makes me even more bullish on more conventional forms of domestic oil and gas extraction. AMEP, after all, does sell oil as well as gas.
