I think Intel have a legal contract with HP over Itanium until 2008 so they may not be able to get rid of it before then and by then Tukwila should have taken most of the Pa-Risc base and might be selling well enough to make Intel keep developing it although they just as easy could lower the boom then, 50/50 I would say.
