As to the normal amount of RECAF in the blood, look at the second chart in the following link.

It displays the level of normal verses cancer levels of RECAF. What is missing from the chart is the stage of development of the cancer bell curve? If they are at the point of collecting tissue samples to confirm cancer, it is obviously in symptomatic stages. IMO, if you were actually able to find and confirm early stage cancers and test the tissues for cancer, the bell curve would move greatly to the left and overlap the normal curve to a great extent. Getting the test to function as an early stage test would be very difficult. Placing the cutoff for cancer determination at a high point of the normal RECAF curve would indeed miss a huge number of early cancers. The present level of cancer indication would almost coincide with being symptomatic. IMO, RECAF will only be used in conjunction with the PSA and other tests to confirm cancer is present. It is not the magic bullet some hope for.
