Its the only logical way it could work. You are still paying at the pump if you don't have to go inside.

do a search on skimming at gas stations and you will see Skimming devices are becoming widespread at gas stations across the USA.

Over 100 card skimmers found at Florida gas stations

Commissioner Adam Putnam spoke Tuesday in Orlando about the recent sweep, saying investigators uncovered a total of 103 skimming devices over the last three months at more than 7,500 gas stations.
