moorea9's point about accumulation at the end of the day is very interesting....

however, if there were more buyers than sellers then the price would be going up, right?

And if there are 100,000, 200,000 shares being bought - then there are that many sold. As long as the price is not moving up, then the demand is roughly equal. So there is as much demand to shed shares at this price as to purchase them. Or else the price would be higher.

Who the heck is selling them at these prices - I have no clue.

And it looks like the same thing happens at the end of the day for the last week or so - a jump in volume toward the end. Like someone is building up their shares. But someone else must be selling their's. So I'm not sure how to read this.
