and not some tweak to the software (firmware upgrades)

I think the company cheapens its image when it makes a PR out of such an inane thing as a firmware upgrade to one of its MP3 players. They must have thought it could be successfully spun on the boards into evidence that now the Odyssey will finally be the iPod killer it was meant to be.

How many companies with a $50 million market cap issue such silly PRs?

Then again, not many companies announce an interim webcast with all sorts of rehashed hype and puffery and then incidentally say, oh and by the way, our auditor resigned and we have a new one.
