MM's can short stock to create liquidity, but this is always settled in less than 3 or 4 days.

Hedge funds have been doing illegal 'necked' shorting through their primary brokerage for decades. Why do you think hedge funds have made all these obsene profits through the years?

All 'off the books' and carried over from one month to the next. They're never accounted for till something goes 'wrong' and needs them to retrieve actual shares.

I honestly don't think any 'moderator' is gonna get busted by the FBI and SEC.

Most have already resigned their positions to avoid any charges of collusion in the whole scheme to stay on the safe side.
