(IMHO) I spoke with Mr Winnick today and other than having to hear him lecture me about 'when am I ever going to get a 'real' job' he says the 'ask' is a temporary insurance of sorts that there's no trading action till this whole 'necked' shorting thing is resolved.

Supposedly there's also going to be a lot of 'fallout' and arrests.

For now competeing interests are dickering about the potential buyout price and the 'ask' exists to prevent anything from happening prematurely.
