Stockrocketer, I agree with you that the 'game' is transformed and things are different in today's market than just about 2 decades ago. Simply being in the market as LT investor is hardly enough to be successful, imo. Though LT investing still remains true selectively in the narrow and difficult field of the very best stocks.

Times certainly are much different for sure. Advanced Hi-tech tools and the vast information, easy access, and, abundance, has impacted not only the stock market but the whole marketplace and all business.

However, with flexibility, awareness of human psychology and understanding of the dynamics of markets, besides the studying the companies themselves, the need for good skills and ability in money and risk management is a must. The Smart will adapt and come on top. The latter will be in the minority as always. The challenge is even greater now for the majority... and for various reasons. C'est la vie. GLTY
