Brazil has been a mess for quite awhile: "gross debt is at 62% of gross domestic product, prompting credit-ratings firms to put the country under watch for a downgrade, likely to junk status."

Beyond their means; "an economy jolted off track by years of overspending".



Reminds me of kids who become the adults, wanting only the best, regardless of cost or ability to pay, or god forbid EARN
