Not a good thing to postpone the event this late. Everything should have long since been in place. Too many unanswered questions:

--- No mechanic who could fix it by Saturday? Really?
--- No replacement parts available?
--- Why move a machine of this size, anyway?
--- The second machine doesn't work?
--- Insufficient product on hand to prove the machine was working beforehand?

Then there are airline and motel refunds or rainchecks. Huh, good luck with that, guys.

Finally, was there some semblance of a deep apology? Or rather, just a simple, 'Oops. Have to postpone, folks. Machine out of order.'

Hope this doesn't turn out to be like the memorable sign posted at Ebbets Field in the spring of 1958: No game today.
