So Madmal finally found a way to admit he lost! He DID have to pay SmartWin!
The settlement agreement... permits Smart Win to retain an equity investment in Empire.
But in classic Madmal fashion, the statement is incredibly deceptive.
What's actually happened is SmartWin was awarded the 32 million shares held in escrow against Madmal's guarantee. SmartWin is free to hold, or sell, those shares as they wish. Thus, the settlement technically "permits" them to keep the shares Madmal was forced to give up. Of course they will do no such thing.
