Doc pickup trucks have been around for decades,in the late 80s chevy introduced their first extended cab pickup they were a very small percentage of pickups. I ordered a brand new one in 90, it now has 375k miles on it and runs great. Nowadays you rarely see a straight cab pickup. The extended cab were huge in the 90s then the 4 door which dominates.

Ng powered vehicles have been marketed towards fleet sales. That is about to change in a big way. Ng runs extremely clean, motor oil lasts longer, mileage and power same, its much much cheaper per gallon vs gasoline.

The reason they have bot been popular has been up front cost and lack of fueling stations. All the ng pickups are dual fuel capable allowing you to fill up will cng and gas and drive anywhere in the country with 700~800 mile range. The only car available has been the honda civic. It has no gosoline backup. The stops 90% of potential customers the sticker is $6k more, sending the rest to buy a ford cng truck. Hondas marketing is all wrong they are trying to sell it based on all green. That only appeals to a small %.

This is all about to change with the introduction of the chevy impala just like the chevy extended cab back in 89. The price of ng option is going to drop dramatically in the next few years and the cng pumps are going to grow exponentially. If cng option only cost $2~3k more, you can buy us energy independent fuel at $1 per gallon cheaper what would you choose?

Every guy i talked to that drives an cng truck all said the same thing, they werent supporting mideast oil. The are helping us jobs. That is all the auto manufactors have to focus on to sell cng vehicles, isis will do the rest. I deployed to saudi 19 times spent over 2.5 yrs in the desert shxxhole. Those people hate all infidels its poundeded into their brains from birth. The next car i buy will be cng/gasoline. Someone like will wait till 50% of cars made have it.
