Do not confuse accumulated deficit with debt/cash

You are incorrectly using terms like cash on hand, debt and working capital interchangeably.

Accumulated deficit only improves as retained earnings/net profits improve and is not directly related to debt or cash on hand. It also does not mean the company is "in the hole" or owes anyone. There are many companies with much higher accumulated deficits that pay dividends, are involved in stock buybacks, etc.

It only means that the company has lost money prior to its profitability during the last two years.

From a purely accounting standpoint, accumulated deficit is an asset as it impacts future tax liability via a tax loss carry forward.
