It is important to remember that it is not about recovering gold. it is about recovering gold with a profit. As near as I can tell, they found low concentrations in sands in areas that were expected to be fruitful. The Hazen report showed some gold in the samples, but, not sufficient to justify building a separation plant for this. The REE content was interesting, but, the drop in value on REE killed all prospects based on those findings.

It was a great idea when REE prices were high. When they tanked, we were stuck with a worthless stretch of river. That is all there is to it. We all should be disappointed in how this turned out, but, to blame management is short sighted. Sure, in hindsight, we should have kept expenses low, continued exploration and never wasted the money effort and time on REEs. Our SS would be a fraction of what it is today.

A lot has changed in the past 18 months. We are a very different company today with an immediate focus on diamonds with land partnerships rather than vast claim exploration. This, in my opinion is finally starting to get traction and I think we are on the right track.

As to the stock pumping last year, yeah, that might have been a mistake. I think that was more an effort to stave off the expense of re-uplisting when the opportunity presents itself again. Unfortunately, things don't move so quickly in Africa and it was a bit too ambitious to think that the share holders would be able to carry the Share Price whle we wait for the exporting of diamonds to commence.
