I now agree with ES1 that Scott should be replaced. He can stay on to help with geology stuff but someone else needs to call the shots.
I don't think it is necessary to replace Dan. I think it is necessary to have someone help him. Remember, Dan is not doing this because he is super qualified. Dan is doing this because NOBODY ELSE was. He rightly knew that someone had to put a boot in Scotts ass or we were going nowhere.
Its interesting that you use the term "the right name". Scott has the right name, he just happens to be a dud. I don't know the movers and shakers of the mining industry so I would not recognize "the name" of a qualified CEO.
I would be impressed with rapid positive progress. Whoever can get that done has my vote.
